Ebelechukwu Gloria Igwe is a research fellow pursuing her doctorate at Africa Regional Centre for Information Science, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She is a Nigerian. She has many publications to her credit on studies relating to Information Science: Information Behaviour; Information and Communications Technology (ICT). She is also a multidisciplinary fellow with studies on ICT and Agriculture; Gender studies and Academic productivity; Information exchange and Health. She has won full sponsorships to attend the Association of Commonwealth Universities summer school conference in Canada and Early-career African Climate Academics Workshop in Ghana.
Her current research aims to examine the conversational characteristics and patterns of information exchange of healthcare practitioners in online social networks on Ebola virus disease. With this project, Ebelechukwu’s goal is to contribute significantly to the benefits of global inter-linkage and experience sharing of healthcare practitioners while addressing the health challenges of people whenever there is an outbreak of disease.
